If you tolerate soy, it is fine to enjoy soy products that are minimally processed and optimally organic/GMO free. Organic miso paste is made from fermented soy and often another grain or legume. Most miso pastes are fairly low carb, containing about three grams of carbs/serving. This would be perfect as the base for a soup at dinner time. The main issues to watch out for with soy intake is that many people have food allergies/intolerance to soy, many soy-containing foods are heavily processed and unless otherwise indicated most of the soy in the food supply is non-organic and genetically modified. Be sure to read the food labels and purchase the highest quality soy products you can access.
