While fat does not provoke an insulin response by the body (so will not break your fast as other macronutrients will), it can interfere with the work of autophagy. For this reason, we recommend pure water and water-based beverages, such as black coffee and AutophaTea™ without the added oil. However, if you are really struggling and are choosing between breaking your fast and having a little bit of coconut oil in your tea, absolutely opt for the coconut oil.
