Preparation is key in your success on the Glow15 plan especially when on the road - or on the run! A great way to do this is to shop and cook your food in batches one to two times a week; this way you can grab and go as you are running out the door. Another tip is to have an abundance of snacks prepared in advance and strategically available. Nuts and seeds, hard boiled eggs, cut up veggies and cheese are all quick and easy snack options. We are also a fan of having fat bombs handy for this purpose. Here is a great recipe for a savory fat bomb, that is a great help when you're in a pinch:
Herbed Bacon and Goat Cheese Fat Bomb
4 oz package goat cheese (room temperature)
¼ cup grass-fed butter or ghee (room temperature)
1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
4 slices of nitrate-free, organic bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoon chopped fresh scallions
Makes 6 to 8 fat bombs
In a food processor, mix the goat cheese, butter or ghee, and garlic until smooth. Transfer to a bowl and mix in the parmesan cheese, chopped bacon, parsley and scallions.
Cool the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, or until it thickens. Divide the mixture into 6 to 8 fat bombs and shape into balls. Store in the refrigerator in a covered class container.
