One of the common reasons for putting on weight is increasing the intake of fats while keeping carbohydrate intake high. This could possibly be what triggered your weight gain. I recommend starting out with intermittent fasting gradually. Start with a 12-hour fast that begins after dinner. You can gradually work your way up to a 14- or 16-hour fast over time. With intermittent fasting you can actually set you fasting window for any time of the day, but most people like to incorporate the time they sleep into their fast. So depending how you structure this you end up skipping dinner or breakfast. To avoid constipation be sure to drink plenty of water and focus on getting in an abundance of non-starchy vegetables, which are high in fiber. The Glow15 program does emphasize eating a good amount of healthy fats with every meal and focusing on eating fats first, saving the carbohydrate intake for later in the day. For weight loss, be mindful about the amount of carbohydrates you are eating later in the day. A half cup of cooked whole grains, beans or root vegetables is about the right amount for most people. Let me know if you need any more guidance along the way.
